🔥 A Journey Through Fire and Threshold

A few years ago, my life unraveled.
​
Divorce. Job loss. Financial instability. Grief. Empty nest. Broken trust.
The roles I had poured myself into—mother, professor, partner, leader—collapsed all at once.
I found myself in the dark, stripped bare of identity, certainty, and belonging.
​
But that unraveling… was also an invitation.
​
What I thought was an ending became a sacred initiation—an ancestral call I could no longer ignore.
In the silence of loss, I heard it clearly: return to yourself.
​
What followed was a profound spiritual awakening. Not the kind found in books or retreats—but in heartbreak, shadow, and surrender. I walked through fire. Through fear. Through grief. And on the other side, I met myself again—raw, tender, powerful.
​
I turned inward and returned to the wisdom of my lineage.
I immersed myself in spiritual practices, including shamanism, metaphysics, ancestral healing, and soul work.
​
And I began to remember:
I am here to guide others across thresholds.
Not just to recover, but to rise reborn.

This was the beginning of KG Coaching and Consulting—the space where I now serve as a bridge between evidence-based strategy and soulful, intuitive transformation.

With a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies, an MSW with a focus on political social work, and a BA in Psychology and Philosophy, my work is informed by decades of experience in higher education, policy, and advocacy.
​
As a former associate professor and director of the oldest social work program in Texas, I’ve mentored leaders, led institutions, and shaped change at the national level.
​
Today, I’ve returned to what I believe is the most sacred form of leadership: guiding others inward, to rediscover who they truly are and how they’re meant to serve.

My work is anchored in the CENTERS Methodâ„ —a holistic framework I developed to help people reconnect to their center and lead from alignment. It blends research-based strategy with intuitive insight, shadow integration, and sacred action.

I created the Survive and Thrive book series to support people during some of life’s hardest seasons—when money is tight, careers are uncertain, and everything feels unstable. These guides are down-to-earth, hopeful, and full of soul and strategy.

And transformation should feel possible, even when you’re starting from scratch.​

A Little More About Me
Where I Come From
I was born in Chile during the Pinochet dictatorship—a time of deep political unrest. My family eventually had to flee, and our path took us across Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America, guided by my father’s work with the United Nations.
Though we came from humble beginnings, this life of movement and cultural immersion shaped me. I carry the textures, traditions, and wisdom of those lands in my bones—and bring that global soul into everything I do.
My work is shaped by the belief that healing, leadership, and transformation must honor both our ancestral roots and our collective future.

I learned English while living in Nigeria, and my accent—both in English and Spanish—is a beautiful reflection of the many places I’ve called home.

My daughter is my best friend, teacher, and old soul companion. Our bond is sacred, and her presence keeps me grounded, joyful, and inspired.

I feel most alive when I’m immersed in beauty and presence—whether through travel, dancing, cooking, decorating sacred space, or connecting in deep conversation.

I root myself daily through meditation, ritual, nature, and ancestral connection—practices that are as vital to my being as breath.
